So we have had our first little hiccup this week and it involves the plumber. In the downstairs toilet the basin was due to be on the right hand side as you walk in but our plumber has decided to change it to the left hand side!!!! Which now means we have to change the side the door opens otherwise you will have trouble going to the toilet in our house.
If this is the severity of the problems we are going to encounter then I think this will be a fairly straight forward process (famous last words!)
We will be popping back over the weekend for the next update & photos (inbetween making mince pies & sausage rolls!)

So we have started...
As of Monday 7th December 2009 work has commenced on Rosefern House. So far they have dug the hole and started infilling it. We went and had a look over the weekend and it gives you a much better idea of how big the house will be (and just how much more cleaning I am gonna have to do!). They are hoping to complete the foundations by Christmas so we are going back this weekend to see what is happening but here are some piccies to start you off with.

The adventure begins...
So today is Monday 30th November 2009, and we have been told they will commence building our new home tomorrow. Well lets just wait and see.
We have been waiting for just over a year to get to this part and this only signals the start of more waiting, but at least we will be able to see the foundations and weatherboard, not just imagine them or see them in drawings.
5 months is how long we have been told that the build will take, but I have been watching far too much Grand Designs to hold my breath for that one. All I know is that I want to be celebrating my 30th birthday at the end of June with a big party in our new house.
We'll keep you all updated and add lots of piccies as to the progress of Rosefern House. xxx
