Here's the movie...

Things have changed a bit...

Ok, so we are well behind on this blog but that is because there is too much going on! You can see from the photos that we have the roof on now, most of the windows are in (and look fantastic) and they have started on the weatherboards so should all be weather tight in the next week (or two!)

We ended up having a bbq with the neighbours last week, Paul the builder being one of them, and what a great bunch of people we are going to have a neighbours. I can't wait to get in there now.

We have been doing more of the interior stuff now. Just worked on our lighting & electrical plans, kitchen is sorted, flooring for downstairs is done. So things are moving along at a pace.

It's all happening so fast

We are getting a real move on now. We now have all the framing completed, we have facias and soffits in place. Plumbing pipes have started appearing. Tomorrow the roof and windows go in and then the cladding can start going on. Mark & I have had to make lots of decisions about stuff recently. We have sorted the kitchen and downstairs flooring and are meeting the electrican soon to sort all that out. We have also been invited to a street party in the neighbourhood next weekend so get to meet all our neighbours.

All very exciting so here are some more shots to keep you up to date.

Ohhhh look what I just did!

A bit of an update

Well Christmas has been and gone and they are well and truly back to work. Just before Christmas they finished the foundations and since then they have completed the framing of the first floor, so for the first time we were able to walk around some of the rooms.

We have been told that the second floor framing is also going to be finished this weekend so more piccies next week.

We also found out who our builder is. There is a few houses in our little complex and one belongs to a husband and wife, the wife was the architect of their house and her husband built it. Well is turns out he is also building ours so only has to walk for 1 minute to get to work in the mornings! Small world.
